Diving Bell: Environmental Concept

The titular Diving Bell is in fact a three story tall submarine. The world of Diving Bell can only be informed through this submarine so it would carry a treasure trove of design details. The world, Isabelle and Irving inhabit is steampunk in nature, the sub they scavenged is ancient even by their standards, but it reflects their resilience and resourcefulness. Drawing on the real life early submersible chamber, this diving bell serves as a home base. Unable to withstand the pressure of the deep, Irving is eager to get out of the trench as soon as possible but Isabelle insists on not returning to the surface empty handed.
The sub went through multiple iterations before being adapted to the scope of the project, simplifying it's design and omitting the moon pool we still managed to create a visually distinct silhouette that is reminiscent of its namesake

Gato, the third member of the Diving Bell team would observe the antics of the duo

Design notes/layout of the corridor that Irving would run through at the climax of the film. Notes directing modelers to divide the walls into segments which allows us to hide on command so we can maneuver a camera through the scene.
